Price Lists
Price lists let you override the standard product price for specific customers or conditions — without changing the base product price.
What price lists are for
| Scenario | Use a price list |
|---|---|
| Wholesale buyers get 30% off | Yes — group-based price list |
| VIP customers get special rates | Yes — group-based |
| Flash sale on specific products | Yes — time-limited price list |
| All products discounted site-wide | Better to use a Promotion |
Creating a price list
1
Go to Price Lists in the sidebar
Click "Price Lists" under the Pricing section. Click "+ New price list".
2
Set the name and type
Give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Wholesale Q2 2026"). Choose the type: "Sale" (public) or "Override" (specific customer group only).
3
Set the customer eligibility
For group-based pricing, select the customer group(s) this price list applies to. Leave empty to apply to all customers (useful for site-wide sales).
4
Set active dates (optional)
Add a start and end date to auto-enable/disable the price list. Useful for time-limited promotions.
5
Add product prices
Click "Add prices". Search for products and set the override price per variant per currency. You can bulk-import prices via CSV for large catalogues.
6
Set the price list to active
Toggle it to "Active" when you're ready. Eligible customers will immediately see the overridden prices at checkout.
Price override types
Percentage — e.g. 20% off the base price. The system calculates the actual price.
Fixed amount — e.g. KSh 1,500 (or your store's currency equivalent) regardless of base price. You specify the exact price.
Stacking and priority
If a customer is in multiple groups that each have a price list, the lowest price applies (most favorable for the customer). If you need priority ordering, name your price lists carefully and manage group membership.
🔥Important
Price lists override the base variant price but don't override promotions. A promotion discount is applied on top of the price list price.
CSV bulk import
For large catalogues, use the CSV import:
- Click Import prices on the price list
- Download the CSV template
- Fill in variant IDs and prices
- Upload — prices import in bulk
