Customer Overview
The Customers section gives you visibility into everyone who has registered or purchased on your storefront. Use it to look up contact info, review purchase history, or manage customer groups.
Accessing customers
Click Customers in the left sidebar. You'll see a paginated list of all customers with their name, email, number of orders, and date of first purchase.
Customer record
Click any customer to open their full record. You'll find:
- Contact info — name, email, phone number
- Order history — every order they've placed, with amounts and statuses
- Addresses — saved shipping addresses
- Customer groups — which groups they belong to
Searching customers
Use the search bar at the top of the Customers page to find by:
- Email address
- Full name
- Phone number (if your store uses phone/OTP authentication)
Editing a customer record
You can edit a customer's:
- Name
- Phone number
Changing a customer's email also changes their login credential. If you need to do this, inform the customer first — they'll need to use the new email to log in.
Phone authentication customers
If your store uses phone/OTP login (available on Kenya-configured stores), customers register with their phone number. Their customer record shows their phone as the primary identifier. They won't have an email unless they added one during profile setup.
What you can't do from here
- Delete customer accounts (requires developer access)
- View payment method details (handled by your payment provider for security)
- Reset customer passwords (customers reset their own via the storefront)
