Campaigns
Campaigns are containers for promotions. They add a budget and time window, making them ideal for planned sales events.
Campaigns vs Promotions
| Promotions | Campaigns | |
|---|---|---|
| Time-bound | Optional | Required |
| Budget cap | No | Yes |
| Groups multiple offers | No | Yes |
| Great for | Evergreen codes | Black Friday, seasonal sales |
Creating a campaign
1
Go to Campaigns in the sidebar
Click "+ New campaign". Give it a descriptive name like "Black Friday 2026" or "Ramadan Sale".
2
Set the campaign period
Enter a start date and end date. The campaign (and all its promotions) automatically activate at midnight on the start date and deactivate at midnight on the end date.
3
Set a budget (optional)
Enter a maximum total discount amount. When the cumulative discount across all orders in this campaign reaches the budget, the promotions deactivate automatically.
4
Add promotions to the campaign
Either create new promotions within the campaign, or link existing promotions to it. All linked promotions share the campaign's time window and budget.
5
Activate the campaign
Toggle it Active. If the start date is in the future, promotions activate automatically when the date arrives.
Budget cap behavior
When the campaign budget is exhausted:
- All linked promotions automatically deactivate
- New checkout attempts will find the codes invalid
- Existing orders that already applied the discount are unaffected
🔥Important
Set the budget conservatively. If you underestimate and the budget is hit early, customers mid-checkout may find their code invalid. Better to increase the budget if you're close to the cap.
